Beyond Retail

In 2024, we’re focused on new initiatives that go beyond selling gifts and accessories. We’re excited about our education series (find out more on social media), offering you curated trips, creating Gullah food experiences, encouraging participation at cultural events, and offering speaking engagements.

All of these initiatives serve our broader mission!

Our New Initiatives

  • Curated Trips

Binya is pleased to start offering carefully curated historical trips and cultural outings for groups. Gather with your friends, sorority, family, work colleagues, or club and attend one of our curated trips by Lola Campbell. Whether it’s a day trip to Charleston, SC to a museum with lunch or weekend adventure even further away, Lola is passionate about curating meaningful and memorable experiences for groups. Email to inquire more and check back on our event calendar for published group trips.

  • Gullah Food Experiences

Those of you who know Lola Campbell and her family will know her mother, Mrs. Campbell’s deviled crab and other signature dishes. Lola’s family is often willing to pitch in for a Friday night Fish Fry, complete with authentic family dishes. In 2024 and beyond, we will be offering Gullah Food Experiences to locals and visitors alike. Email to inquire more and check back on our event calendar for published Gullah food experiences.

  • Cultural Events

Hilton Head Island and the entire Gullah Geechee Corridor hosts annual Gullah festivals, poetry readings, film festivals, culinary events, and music concerts that are all exciting. At Binya, we are excited to participate in a number of these events each year! Check our event calendar to see what’s coming up and how you can get involved in these Gullah Cultural Events.
